Ok so pretty much I've been redefining my style, well... more like giving it a slight makeover, adding a few more pages to the comic book that it is. Adding a few more characters to the list of people that inspire my everyday get ups. First on that list of new people, is someone who, isn't very new on my list of style inspirations. Ruby Rhod! Now I'm not saying I'm going to be running around in cheetah jumpsuits but just... how eccentric of a character and how flamboyant he is, yet maintains that ladies man appeal. He's kind of like a caricature version of Prince. I absolutely love his outfits and Jean Paul Gaultier did his thing throughout the whole movie, it IS a movie, not everyday ready to wear. So the inspiration comes more so from the character and his overall look and personality rather than the actual outfits. Now, I know I'm rambling on and on and on but yeah I tend to do that sorry haha

Last night I went out with my cloob rat friends lol Kyle, Ej and Tatiana! it was glorious! I actually had so much fun haha i HATE clubs omg so much. But clubbing with Tatiana is an entirely different experience lol she knows everyone and is crazy hyper energetic and just all around poppin. No being fake fabulous standing around looking cute for us, no no no, we swagged and cooked and danced and were obnoxious! We sang Sonic Adventure 2 "City Escape" in the streets and eventually made Andrej leave where he was at to come play haha Ran into Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl and he took my hat and wore it. Ahhhhhh SO! That time to try and dye my hair again.... Some of you may remember that I tried it a few months ago without bleaching my hair at all haha WHICH only made my scalp blue lol but thiiiisss time... I went blonde first. Now because I have a lot of red in my beard, i have to bleach it twice to have gotten it to the right color white, so it wouldnt turn green with the blue hair dye! So literally the worst pain in my life was bleaching my hair the second time I SERIOUSLY wanted to die it was horrible. But yeah I was happy in the end because it was a SUCCESSSSS haha :D

Project Trade Show

Was kind of wack. I mean it was really nice to be honest. But esthetically, and location and feel was. It was really really nice and more personal than capsule is, which is more white and grey and seems colder. The Project show overall is better than capsule, but as a customer and a designer I'm a huge critic of clothing. So I wasn't really impressed by a lot of things I saw. Most of it blended with each other and it ALL looked like American Heritage clothing, but dirty and, well I wouldn't really call it grunge, but it just looked vintage. Had a very old look to it. Just about every booth had an american flag in it, to show "authenticity" I guess? Which just further proved that the brands lacked individuality and cleverness. There was one brand that really stuck out to me, and that was Sir New York. I'll do a blog post about them later, but they were really the only clothing brand that stood out and looked different, and actually seemed to care about having their own esthetic. The upside of the show is that I got to learn a lot about what was going on in the industry and gain some tips and see a lot of people I had not seen in a while. Oh and I got to meet Nick Wooster haha Take a look at some pictures.

Not doing my body well =/ I've been really inspired a lot lately by 90's things and its motivated me to try and get into shape. Work on my personal appearance both style wise and body wise. The perfect mix of the two is to really try and start to dress how I want. I want to start wearing cropped shirts like how a lot of men did in the 90's. But like, in a masculine way, if that makes sense at all haha I mean if Marky Mark can do it why can't I right? (I know I have a lot of crunches and push ups to do but still).

Scientists Cure Cancer But No One Takes Notice...

Canadian researchers find a simple cure for cancer, but major pharmaceutical companies are not interested.

Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects.

This drug doesn't require a patent, so anyone can employ it widely and cheaply compared to the costly cancer drugs produced by major pharmaceutical companies.

Canadian scientists tested this dichloroacetate (DCA) on human's cells; it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells and left the healthy cells alone. It was tested on Rats inflicted with severe tumors; their cells shrank when they were fed with water supplemented with DCA. The drug is widely available and the technique is easy to use, why the major drug companies are not involved? Or the Media interested in this find?

In human bodies there is a natural cancer fighting human cell, the mitochondria, but they need to be triggered to be effective. Scientists used to think that these mitochondria cells were damaged and thus ineffective against cancer. So they used to focus on glycolysis, which is less effective in curing cancer and more wasteful. The drug manufacturers focused on this glycolysis method to fight cancer. This DCA on the other hand doesn't rely on glycolysis instead on mitochondria; it triggers the mitochondria which in turn fights the cancer cells.

The side effect of this is it also reactivates a process called apoptosis. You see, mitochondria contain an all-too-important self-destruct button that can't be pressed in cancer cells. Without it, tumors grow larger as cells refuse to be extinguished. Fully functioning mitochondria, thanks to DCA, can once again die.

With glycolysis turned off, the body produces less lactic acid, so the bad tissue around cancer cells doesn't break down and seed new tumors.

Pharmaceutical companies are not investing in this research because DCA method cannot be patented, without a patent they can't make money, like they are doing now with their AIDS Patent. Since the pharmaceutical companies won't develop this, the article says other independent laboratories should start producing this drug and do more research to confirm all the above findings and produce drugs. All the groundwork can be done in collaboration with the Universities, who will be glad to assist in such research and can develop an effective drug for curing cancer.

This article wants to raise awareness for this study, hope some independent companies and small startup will pick up this idea and produce these drugs, because the big companies won't touch it for a long time.

Now I hate to be the one to call conspiracy theory, and throw all these things out there but... It really does make sense that the big pharmaceutical companies won't pick up a cheap cure, when their making big money off of costly treatments. Not that I'm saying its good or smart, but I can see the correlation and reason for being corrupt. But I have a hard time believing the world really really works like this. I still do, and kind of always will. I refuse to believe their is really that much greed and evil in this world for people to really not jump on such a cure if it really exists... maybe I'm naive but, I have faith in humanity I guess.

SO! I am the happiest Mexican Jew on Christmas ANYWHERE! My mom and nana knew exactly what to get me :') This year they really went all out. A pair of Rick Owens, a Cambridge Satchel bag, Sanrio Space Boots, Beats By Dre headphones, a whole freakin Gumball Machine and a Comme Des Garcon wallet :))))))) Oh and a bunch of disposable camera's like I wanted.

Oh and Andrej brought me these back from Tokyo! Can you say best Christmas ever?

I hope you all had a great Christmas too! And I know it isn't all about the gifts, as I'm 20 now, its about time I start to realize that. I was very happy to have spent a very nice day with my mom, nana and best friend. Christmas to me was not a religious holiday, but a much needed day of relaxation and celebration. My parents love today, as they get to see my expression and glee when I open my gifts. I got my nana a custom one of a kind pin that she liked a lot when she saw me design it. I got my mom a special breakfast she would never get for herself. They were both very happy, and that made me happy :) So aside from the gifts, (which were amazing) it was an excellent day. Now back to work!!!

Kind of insane to see how they were reacting to their leaders death. Well not really insane, because thats how you should react when your president or ruler dies. I just don't really see that happening for the states. In America... well there were a lot of people upset when Kennedy was assassinated but times are different now. I don't think today's youth in the US would be in a square somewhere holding hands crying over Obama if he died. People would be sad and hurt and upset at home but... I don't really see it for our generation... Maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am wrong. But its just strange to see the teens and young people so upset, when here, I know a lot of kids who could give not one care if ANYTHING happens in government or to our president. Makes you think a little.

*sigh* This is dumb. I see nothing wrong with dancing at the Jefferson Memorial at all.... I don't get why so much aggression was used and it really just seemed like the cops ego's were hurt more than any laws. I mean granted, they should've really just stopped, but it was good that they stood up to what they believed in and got to embarrass these cops for being douchebags. I mean again, I don't know why they were dancing there, but it really didn't see it as being so horrible. They were being calm and not disorderly. People with authority tend to not like being made to look dumb or wrong. Wrong of the "police" or safety patrol to act like that regardless.
