What Assman Means....

I just want to clarify things for some of the newer people that are getting a look at my stuff. That are just getting to know what Assman and ADEEN is. What it stands for, and what it represents. What "Assman" means to me and what I want it to mean to the world. I'm doing so because I've been hearing people saying they find "Assman" to be derogatory, which frankly... Kind of hurts. Assman has been a cartoon I've been drawing ever since the Third grade. It is like my child. I LOVE this character. It is a part of me. It represents innocence, fun, and laughter. Never once have I ever tried to promote or sell sex through Assman the line or the cartoon character. I was once a cartoonist with dreams of creating comic books or a cartoon show to make kids like me smile, laugh and feel good all over the world. It's about promoting good feeling and fun. Laughing and bringing innocence and pure unadulterated love back into someone. That, wake-up-at-7-am-to-watch-saturday-morning-cartoons feeling. It's not and NEVER has been selling an image of girls in Panties and being sexy. I hate that. That is so NOT me. It's selling the image of being cute, and loving the way you look and feel. The name "Assman" isn't what it means in today's pop culture. About someone who loves ass on a woman. Its just the name of the Cartoon character who has the body of a butt, stick figure arms and legs. I turned into underwear to get rid of the misconception that it was a pigs nose that I still fight today. Every time a girl models the underwear I cannot stress enough their comfort level and if they are having fun while doing it. I am here to promote self image. It's not even about how big or small your butt is. ADEEN Assman products are for everyone and anyone. Big butt, small butt and women of any color, shape or size. Promoting good feeling and comfort. I don't care what people may think of me. But to think that way of my cartoon character and my brand is something totally different and hurtful. If you ever have any questions about what I do and what my brand and company represents and means feel free to e-mail me at Rembrandt.Duran@gmail.com . Thank you.

I totally get what you're saying Remy but it does seem like a contradiction like the person mentioned above. People are gonna view it how they see it though, unfortunately, but just know that you have others who believe and support your brand (like myself). =] Gotta be optimistic! I do see where you're going with this. Wish you all the success! Seems like you're doing well with it.

btw that's a cute drawing.

GET SOME was a catchy slogan. It is only as dirty as your mind will make it. Get some Panties? Get some fun? Get some ass? It's a play on words. The motto behind the brand has always been fun. It's in the original mission statement and in the original business plan, both of which came before the panties. Maybe it's because I was around when Remy first drew those characters, maybe it's because I know him better then anyone...but at the end of the day, people will believe what suits them to believe. But believe this, he wouldn't have my support or the support of his grandmother if he was in any way trying to exploit women.

I really wish people who had negative things to say wouldn't hide behind anonymous. You really lose all credibility when you do that.

i in no way have anything against assman and have been following the brand for a while but you can't be surprised when someone links assman to a sexual connotation.
don't forget you're also saying stuff like 'the panty drop' and 'get some'. like i said im not a hater but the people above are right. youre contradicting yourself

Naw...that's okay. :) Everyone has a right to their opinion. It isn't ABOUT sex. It's ABOUT fun. It's a cartoon character. Maybe a PG-13 one but it's still a cartoon. It's not meant to be offensive or to objectify women at all.

It's called a play on words. You know...when a new CD "drops"...that was the panties "dropping". Like I said, it's only as sexual as your mind takes it. It's completely up to the person buying/wearing the item.

We appreciate comments from everyone and we appreciate the support.
